Day 50: I hate my f*ck&ng scale

I really do. I am tired of weighing myself and it not reflecting my hard work!

Lately, I have been doing really well. But it isn't showing up! Its frustrating! Maybe it's broken- seriously- sometimes i'll step on it three times in a row and it will say something different 165.6 then 165.8 the the 165.4.... ugh!!!!!!!!! I'm eating better this week then last- and my WI on Sunday was 164.2- SO WHAT IS GOING ON?! Even last week, my weight loss didn't show up until I went to WW and weighed in on their scale.

I'm just a little irritated can you tell?

Dont get me wrong, I am proud of my efforts. Today I went high protein and low carb (except for a couple Sunchips) I ate fruit, veggies and protein all day. Yesterday I ran and did surprisingly well in fact, I made it the whole 3 miles! I only stopped once for about 20 seconds. I felt surprisingly... good. I really cant believe I made it.

But even with all these good accomplishments I keep thinking about that damn scale.

Metal Monster- why doth thou hold such power over me? *sigh*

  2. I know what you mean about that darn scale! If I don't weigh myself everyday I feel that I have permission(!) to eat what I like! Then if I do weigh and don't like the number I eat anyway because what is the point?! We should all throw our scales off a high cliff! lol

  3. Oh no! This sounds WAY TOO familiar!!

My question to you is this...

Do you feel better? Do you notice your healthier/thinner/lighter? Are you pleased with how and what you are eating?

Lately it seems to me after reading your posts that your answers to those questions would be YES!

Then my answer for you is...

    That is all that matters.

  4. You shouldn't be a slave to the scale. Don't let it have that much power over you. If you know that you are eating well then your efforts will pay off :)

  5. Ditch the scale. Save your sanity.

  6. I feel your pain, we all do!

But sometimes if you take a good honest hard look and you're eating right, exercising, drinking lots of water, and getting enough sleep, then there really isn't anything else you can do. The body does what the body wants. Sometimes it juts needs a moment to catch up with you.

I'm proud of you that this didn't lead to any actions undoing all your hard work, or any voilence against your scale :) keep up the great work!
